Employees are notified when GPS policies change
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes by our authentication provider and are checked against known breached-password lists. We never see or store plain-text passwords, and all traffic is encrypted in transit.
Every account has one clear role. Employees manage their own work records. Company admins manage their company. Nobody sees more than their role allows.
Each company's records are isolated at the database level. One company can never read, edit, or export another company's employees, shifts, or payroll data.
Company settings, GPS policy updates, permission changes, and time corrections are written to an append-only audit log that admins cannot edit or delete.
Pay rates are restricted to the people who need them. Payroll runs can be locked after review, so exported records always match what was approved.
Access is enforced by row-level security policies on the database itself, not just in the app. Sensitive operations run through narrowly scoped, permission-checked functions.
NuvoWork only collects location when company-enabled verification requires it.
When a company enables GPS verification, a single location snapshot may be recorded at clock-in.
A matching snapshot is recorded at clock-out so the shift record is complete and auditable.
Some companies choose additional checkpoints during an active shift. This is optional and configured by the company admin.
NuvoWork does not continuously track employees.
NuvoWork does not collect location while employees are off the clock.
Employees are notified whenever their company changes its GPS policy.
Each company has its own separated data access. Records are always tied to a single company, and access checks are enforced on every read and write.
Employees access their own hours, breaks, time off, and location records — not their coworkers' pay or personal details.
Company admins control the roster, work categories, GPS policy, payroll settings, and plan — scoped to their company only.
Policy changes, role changes, payroll actions, and record corrections are all recorded with the account that made them.
When a time record is corrected, the change is never silent. Every correction is tracked with:
